Hello Readers! WOW, what a morning I’ve had so far and it is only 10:30am. But AMEN and AMEN Jesus met me in my puddle of mess today! I spent my drive back home this morning, after dropping miss Alice off at school, crying and blasting praise and worship music. Jesus came down ya’ll, met me in my mess and completely turned around my perspective today and that’s why I was crying and praising. Jesus is just so good isn’t He?! For lack of better phrasing I was a pity party mess of myself this morning. Upset for so many little reasons and situations that just seemed like they were all planned just to screw with my day. I called my husband all in a tizzy just hoping to bring him into my misery and because he is a brilliant husband he just stayed silent until I was ready to hang up on myself Haha! When I quieted my heart the Holy Spirit just whispered to me, ever so perfectly timed, “…but are you here?” and that’s all it took. My stresses and struggles of getting my special needs child to school safely and on time meant that I’d been gifted with another day. It means I’m a mama and Lord am I thankful for that! Godly perspective for the win today! All I want to share with you are the lyrics for the song I played on repeat on my way home this morning. It’s a song I’m sure most of you are familiar with called Graves into Gardens. It was written by Steven Furtick and the worship team of Elevation Church. My hope is that it helps lift your heart the way it did for me this morning…

“I searched the world, but it couldn’t fill me. Man’s empty praise and treasures that fade are never enough. They You came along and put me back together. And every desire is now satisfied. Here in Your Love. Oh there’s nothing better than You. There’s nothing better than You. Lord, there’s nothing better than You! I’m not afraid to show You my weakness. My failures and flaws, Lord, you’ve seen them all and You still call me friend. ‘Cause the God of the mountain is the God of the valley. There’s not a place Your mercy and grace won’t find me again. Oh there’s nothing better than You, there’s nothing better than You, Lord, there’s nothing, nothing is better than You. You turn mourning to dancing. You give beauty for ashes, Your turn shame into glory, You’re the only One who can, You turn graves into gardens, You turn bones into armies, You turn seas into highways, You’re the only one who can. Oh, there’s nothing better than You, there’s nothing better than You, there’s nothing better than You, Lord, there’s nothing, nothing is better than You.”

AMEN and AMEN!
